Angry Pablo Impact Report
Over the past year Angry Pablo has been working closely with ENVRT - a disruptive machine-learning sustainability platform that provides brands with access to bespoke environmental impact data.
Using their state-of-the-art ENVRT LAB™, each and every garment in the Angry Pablo EarthTone Collection has undergone a thorough Life Cycle Assessment, providing us with invaluable data - and actionable insights - to reduce the overall environmental impact of future AP garments.
What is a Life Cycle Assessment?
A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method used to evaluate the environmental impact of a product across its entire life span, from raw material extraction to production, energy consumption, and transportation. The insights gained from this assessment enable the development of data-driven priorities, targets, and actionable steps.
The primary goal is to focus on the processes that clothing brands can directly influence, particularly in areas such as product manufacturing, material selection, production methods, and transportation. Transparent reporting and communication of the results also empower customers to make more informed and sustainable choices.
At each and every stage, localised energy data and water scarcity factors are used to ensure transparent and effective location specific impact analysis. This includes a range of factors, such as type of energy usage, material recycling and closed-loop manufacturing techniques.
What does ENVRT Lab do?
ENVRT LAB™ analyses CO₂ equivalent for global warming potential and water scarcity using the cutting-edge Life Cycle Assessment techniques outlined above. Simply put, it’s about knowing every twist and turn in the journey of your Angry Pablo products - from the water consumed in textile production, to the energy used to power the sewing machines.
Why have we partnered with ENVRT?
One of the reasons we chose to partner with ENVRT is because, like us, they’re passionate about what they do. They go beyond the ordinary by diving into the depths of water deprivation in specific geographical locations. This is important because a litre of water in the Atacama Desert is far more valuable than a litre of water in Wales.
Using Angry Pablo’s EarthTone Collection, ENVRT have collated a comprehensive report that outlines our efforts as a clothing company to offer customers complete transparency across supply chains. As we look ahead to the future, we’ll be continuing to work with our partners at ENVRT to drive positive change in the industry we operate in.
