After being introduced to the sport at an early age at the Preston Park Velodrome in Brighton, Felix went on to enjoy plenty of success as a junior –  winning 5 British titles before making the decision to switch to Ireland, the home country of both his parents.

Something he’s perhaps best known for though is beating Sir Chris Hoy at the European Track Champs in 2010. In what can only be described as an unconventional display of track sprinting, the 17 year Felix defied the odds by doing something that most people in his situation would have been forgiven for - he refused to give up.

Over the next ten years, Felix’s natural ability, grit and flamboyant riding style saw him carve out a successful career on both the road & track.

For those interested, some career highlights:

  • National Criterium Champion (2012)
  • The Milk Race (1st - 2013)
  • Two stage wins at the Pearl Izumi Tour Series
  • UCI Track World Cup Madison (1st - LA)
  • UCI Track World Cup Scratch (1st - Glasgow)
  • 2020 Tokyo Olympics (Madison)
  • Adopting his golden labrador (2016)

However, following the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Felix felt like something had changed. He knew that the desire to race at the highest level was no longer there, but his love for cycling and what it had given him over the years was as strong as it had ever been.

Cue Angry Pablo. A brand designed to focus on the stuff that was fundamental to keeping the fire alive for so long — the friendships formed through sport, a passion for pursuing other endeavours alongside cycling, and, perhaps most importantly, an admiration for those who deliver on the day without taking themselves too seriously.

While Felix’s career as professional cyclist might be over (even if he refuses to admit it), at Angry Pablo we’re just getting started.
